Summertime

As always, my summer has been filled with as much time as possible spent outside, in the sun, and preferably in the "wilderness." I have this never satisfied need soak up all the sun-filled days and pack in as much time camping as possible. I love it! So I thought I would share some of the many photos that I've taken in the past month or so. I absolutely love nature photography and I appreciate the diversity of the Michigan landscape that allows me to expand my horizons a bit. So here are a few samples of the beauty Michigan has to offer. Oh, and a few of my beloved puppy Hank enjoying it with me. ;)

Danae Rebekkah

This past May I was able to go back home to visit my family. I love returning to Colorado, not just because it is such a great state, but because it is so wonderful to reconnect with the family I love so much. While I was there I had the time to shoot some pictures of my beautiful sister Danae.

New Directions

Well after some time of silence on the blog, I am happy to report that I have taken up sports photography! I am working as a freelance photographer for Saginaw Sports and I'm LOVING it! I have always wanted to gain experience in sports photography but up until this point haven't been able to pursue it like I wanted to. I am so thankful to have this opportunity now, even though it comes towards the end of my time in Saginaw.

These first few images are of the first few games I attended. The first is from the Heritage Varsity Girls Softball, and the second is the Nouvel JV Girls Soccer, and last but not least are some from Heritage Varsity Girls soccer.

2011 Calendar

The A Family

I had a fun family session with my friend Krista as we forced our husbands to pose for pictures with us! She's a photographer too and we both needed pictures of ourselves. Our friend (and professional! photographer) Genoveva even came out and helped us out and took some great pictures as well! It was VERY cold, but a lot of fun. These are the pictures that I took for Krista.
